Drug Status: Marketed Drug

Arimidex™ (anastrozole), an oral aromatase inhibitor (AI), is an endocrine (hormonal) therapy for the treatment of hormone-sensitive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. ARIMIDEX was first launched in 1995 for the treatment of advanced disease and the first approvals for early breast cancer treatment followed in 2002.
